Super 44 vs Super 40

What is the diffrance between the two mufflers. Which one would work best with a 302 set up? with some 2.5 in pipes and long headers?

What kind of mufflers are you guys running and what have you found works and sounds good on classic stangs?

Pimpin aint easy guys haha

I have the Magnaflow TRU-X system, and I think it sounds great. It's a little more traditional muscle car sound, and it's stainless steel. It's not overly loud while cruising, but makes some noise when needed.

So that is a whole system. Is it important to get a system that works together or will just the mufflers do the same?

Is any preformance gained?

eh honestly i just use a super turbo muffler. i got it out of sumit. sounds realy good but has a mild tone so you wont get pulled over. but their is a realy small gain due to the restriction of the exhaust bein taken out. but the gain is not much for horse power. Bout as loud as my pocket rocket!

It's a header back system. You can build your own, and get the same results. I bought that system because ut's all stainless steel.

Dieing Sheep? Exactly what does that sound like? Or did you mean a raped sheep?

Thrush aren't too bad, the reason I got them is they were like 20-25 each.. somehow my mufflers got bent but they havent given me or my dad problems.. I've had the mufflers on since January 06 and they're still goin strong. They're made by Walker, which also make the dynomax brand if I'm not mistaken.

The weather was bad today so I didn't get a chance to get a sound clip.. I'll try and get some soon. What kind ya want, in-cab on acceleration, drive-by or what?

Just any clip would be awsome. My car has a good low gurgle sound now but I would really like somthing a little more agressive sounding. You know like when you give her hell she sounds like ur ganna wet your pants.

Well maby not that extreme my 70 just sounds a little tame right now

I have 2 cars with 40s they are just fine I asked the exhaust guy about the 44s and he said it would be too loud, even though wit he 71 you can hear me 1/2 mile or more away when I jump on it.

Go 40's

Here is a clip of it when it first got the exhaust, but mind you the cam is extremely radical....surprised it runs correctly.
