351 Cleveland Cobra Jet

What is the value of a 1970 351C CJ engine? Not familiar with Clevelands, but heard its a good motor. Fresh rebuild, pan to carb and runs great. I want to sell it to put a stroker in my 66 fairlane. Yes, I know its not original to the fairlane, but some bonehead put it in there b4 I bought the car. Thanks guys.

Try the Cleveland forum. The 1970 engine, if it's all original, is a desirable engine because it will have the high compression closed chamber heads.

If it's a 70 with 4V heads I would think it would be worth at least $1000. BTW, there never was a 351 CJ in 1970. I don't think Ford used the CJ designation on 351C's until 1972 and those had lower compression ratio than in 1970. Anyone restoring a 70 M code Mustang or Cougar would be very happy to find a good 4V motor.
