New Old Guy Here!!!

Hi everyone. I'm Ray from Phila. Pa. I'm a parts mgr. at a Lincoln Mercury dealer in Phila. Here's my rides.

The 1970 Mach1 was a 351 cleveland 2v automatic. It's now a 408 Cleveland Stroker with 567 Hp. and a 4 spd. 4.30 gears, run 11.42 at 118.
The 1967 Mercury Comet Cyclone is a 460 which is now 466 cid has a turbo 350 with a trans brake and a 4.30 gear. Run 10.80's at 127.

Every time I see a 70 Mach 1 I want to cry, becuse my dad used to own one that was a 4v, 4 speed, and dark ivy green metallic, and he sold it. Anyways,

Yes it is a turbo 350 Chevy trans. That's what the previous owner put in it.

Well your Dealer may have never seen one since there were only 300 produced. Some of the most experienced Ford guys don't know what the car is. As you know, it was Mercurys version of the Talladega, which they made 800 of. Mine is a Cale Yarborough version of which a 150 were produced.

We called my friend "Talladega Steve" He had 9 Talladega's and 2 Cyclone SpoilerII's. One Cale Yarborough and one Dan Guerney, so I have seen them. He had to sell them all years ago due to a divorce.
