Tech Question-T/5 Install 65Installing t-5 in 65, I am using a 351 roller block that has no boss for clutch..So I bouth a Modern Drive -www.moderndriveline.com clutch cable kit and a pony car adapter plate. Now here is where it gets good..per the install instructions I should thread the clutch cable through bellhousing mounting hole There is no hole on a 65 bellhousing it also pushes and this kitpulls? So do I get another housing that pulls? the drawings show a 65 ? Have I been in the garage to long? ![]() Thanks in advance |

Early 65s could have come with a 5 bolt bellhousing. The 4 bolt style was a mid year change. The 5 bolt bellhousing is somewhat rare so don't pitch it, but it sounds like you will have to switch out the bellhousing to the late 4 bolt style. Hope this helps.

You could also just use the stock t-5 bell housing. Then the cable system will work.I've installed t-5's in 66-69 with 298's 351W's and 351C's. It's no big deal
