289 Rear Main Replacemnet

The 289 i just rebuilt the top end has leaked from day one of refire up. Its the rear main. From what i have gathered, it requires dropping the oil pan. Which I dont think is going to be very easy to do with the motor in the car. Any ideas on where I wont have to pull the motor. And if it does come down to having to pull the motor, I probably will just take it someplace, because I dont have a cherry picker.

if it is an early mustang you can have the pan off in about an hour.if it is duel exhaust just drop your center brace and the idler arm.remove stablizer bar and the pan is wide open.very easy job.
