Question

Electrical Help

Need a little help trouble shooting my 1966 Mustang.... I am an electrical moron. My right front passenger turn signal stopped working. So far I have
checked the park lights, and they all work. I checked the wiring in the
steering column and nothing is loose. I have replaced the bulb with a
new bulb and only the park light filament comes on in the bulb. all the
other turn signals work on the car. The passenger side rear works, so I
know it can't be the turn signal plug. Help Help Help... I would
greatly appreciate any and all trouble shooting ideas, because this is
my daily driver and I'd like to avoid a ticket. I spent 3 hours in my
garage scratching my head last night and am about to give up and get an
orange flashlight and flick it on and off for left turns hahaha.

you have a plug on that signal harness.unplug it and take a test light and check the wires in the harness to see if one is blinking with turn sig on.a lot of times the springs in the light plug get weak or stuck and it want make connection .hope this helps.

And if that dosnt blink for you, need to check the turn signal switch to see if the front point contact in the switch has melted. It is kinda hard to check, you have to remove your steering wheel. Good Luck
