rebuild or just clutch

When im driving down the road, there is a knocking or sqealing sound coming from the transmission i think. It doesnt happen in first, but in second and third it will start up. Is this the throwout baring or do i need to have the whole t-5 rebuilt. If its the clutch ill just have a new one put in but i was going to get yall opinion.

It doesn't sound like the clutch because they usually don't make the noises decribed, even when going out. The throw out bearing will only rattle at idle, while in neutral, with the clutch disengaged. It sounds like you have other problems.

what do you think it could be. The shifter is kinda loose so maybe its just raddling around in there.

driveing a t-5 could be fatal to the tranny.they are known to make a little noise then a peice of metal between gears and its all over.
