car wont Stay running

I took my heater box out a week ago, replaced hoses and resealed the heater box and put it all back together. Now before this, the car was running strong but now since i got it all back together the car wont stay running. The timing and carb wasnt touched. Im baffled on what it could be. Im thinking maybe bad gas, not enough gas cause it is on low.

Its a 65 mustang with a 302 4 barrel carb

Have you added any more good gas to the car yet ?

A: Does it only start while hold the key to start and die when you let off the key?

B: Start and then keeps running but wont idle?

C: Starts & Idles but cant give it gas ?

Check

1) The PCV hose.
2) If you have an automatic the hose that connects to the automatic kickdown
3) If you have vacuum advance that vacuum line
4) Check to make sure all of the vacuum connections on the carb are either connected or plugged.

---
If those are all good then your problem may be a unlucky event unrelated to your heater repair.

Then it is either a fuel or spark issue...
- when it dies check to see if the carb still has fuel.
- Check to see if spark is still going.

It was just the quality of the gas because i had about a 1/4 of a tank of old gas. Drained the old gas and put new in and has been running good so far
