Questions on New Seats

I was reupholstering my stock 66 seats this weekend and it turned out that the welds on the drivers seat frame were completely broken in half. The only thing holding it together was the actual vinyl around the cushion. Since I was redoing the interior anyway, does anyone know of a good seat I can replace it with? I am looking for more of a modern look, something like a Sparco...but not as ricey. Just something that is high backed and with bolsters that will hold my ass in the seat better than the stockers.

These are the seats I have In my Neon Green Car I like them alot.

Hot seats for hot rods.

Equally at home in musclecars, off-road buggies, Jeeps, or sport compact vehicles, these Rally Series 1000 seats from Scat are packed with exciting features. Vertical stitching provides a vintage look, and pronounced side bolstering adds support under hard cornering. An all-steel, TIG-welded frame provides long-lasting durability, and the one-touch recliner/backrest releases with Safe-Lock headrest adjusters will fit any size driver

don't want to hijack a thread but I too am looking for seats. if its not being creepy and personal, how big are you
do you find the side bolsters are too big for comfort on a long drive.
how is the head room and how tall are you
thanks

I did a lot of research for my 67, and even bought a used set of foxbody 88 seats to do some test fitting. These seem to be great alternative and still keep with the mustang theme. I believe TMI even makes pony covers for the foxbody seats, so you could get them to match your back covers if you went that route.

I put a set of black leather seats out of a 96 GT in my 66. They match the interior very well and I love the way they feel. They have power lumber and are pretty adjustable. Theyre also a straightforward swap. The track width is the same as the 66 seats so I just used the tracks from the 66 and drilled new holes in them. I believe all Mustang seats from 79-04 mount the same way that my 96 seats do. So most any from those years should swap in fairly easy.

I dont have any pics of it yet, but I will try to get some this weekend. They go really well with the stock interior, kinda look like they belong there.

Sorry it took so long to get a pic. The car is a mess, I've been doing body work and priming to get it ready for paint. Also sorry about the interior being so dirty, its full of dust, dirt, and junk from working on it and moving it around. Maybe this'll give you some idea though.
