What would be the "ideal" finished build for you car??

If you had all the money the to do what you wanted to do with your car, what would be the finished product?

Mine would have a good quality paint job that was a factory paint scheme. I would probably keep my same wheels as well. If I went aftermarket, it would be something classic like Cragars. The farthest I would stray would be Weld Prostars or something like that. I think the new style of puting larger rims on and lowering the car looks good, but it's just not my style. I will keep all my parts for the era the car was built.

The interior would be just like it is......original down to the AM/FM radio. I would just add a tach on the steering column where it's not real noticeable.

I would have a well built big block for it (428CJ) with a 4 speed. Nothing sounds like a big block . I would do some suspension upgrades, but nothing that requires cutting the car. I would lose potential for good track times by keping it like that, but track times aren't my goal. I would put the Shelby springs on the front, like what I have now, to give it that good stance.

body work most definatly get rid of those pesky rust spots. then do a full blown suspension over haul, i plan to keep the original set up.

Now for the engine i want a 347 with edlebrock victor jr ford heads with valve size 2.05 and 1.60, some kind of cam. i would turn my c4 in to a six speed c4 with a gear vendors under/overdrive unit. it would then get some nos an a rebuilt rear end.

the interior will stay the same except for the cracked dash an needed door pannels an all th wireing redon, an have a six disk cd changer with an am/fm radio.

then get it panted midnight metalic blue with black pin stripes.

Oh, come on now...470 w.h.p. and a table-flat torque curve with light boost out of a 281? And still getting 24 m.p.g. @ 75 m.p.h... Don't hate the OHV engines, they love forced induction! (Okay, you can pick on the 96-98 mods...they were awful...)

Poo I say! My 69 with full coil-overs, 4-corner disks, stroked 351W fuel-injected 427, stock interior except for 2005+ seats and A/C, lowered only slightly, 5-speed, 9-inch stuffed with 3.73s and a locker, stiffened chassis (Drag Ready), Shaved (no badging and chrome on the bumpers only)...and because of the wife, it will be purple...with black above the water line...I'm trying to talk her into silver and purple...we'll see...

I'd take a 69 fastback and stuff a Boss 429 in it. It would obv be tough to find heads but hey you said price didn't matter! haha Maybe a 6 speed tremec behind the engine if I could do it without having to modify the car.

I'd paint the car black with an original BOSS 429 look. For wheels I'd get American racing wheels from the era and BF Goodwrich radial T/A's as wide as I could all around. I'd put the best modern suspension in it that i could without having to modify, and same for 4 wheel discs.

The interior I want all stock looking except for a 69/70 Shelby roll bar with the rubber padding on it.

I believe that with classic cars you can modify the drivetrain/brakes/suspension all you want but DO NOT hack up the car. I hate the big wheels on old cars!!! If you want to do that crap buy a modern car please....

The only thing that saved him is he said 4V. I have a lot of respect for those, but the 2Vs are power challenged

Do the same to the pushrod motor, and it would be better. I don't see John Force running a mod motor

If you want to go fast, pushrods are hands down the best choice.

If I was going for gas mileage and power, I'd own a LSx powered car
