65 Engine Noise - Whining
I have a 65 289 with 4bbl autolite. When I start the car a whining noise comes from the engine, and it seems like its coming from the carby. As the car accelerates so does the noise. It sounds kind of like a blower/turbo, similar pitch.
Have put this thread on a number of sites but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks |

spray around the carb with carb cleaner and note change in sound and rpm.sounds like a vaccume leak.
