'75 Mach 1

I own a seventy five mach 1, and apparently the jerk who bought it first ordered it automatic! I'm fixin' it up to drag and how much trouble and/or work would it be to swich it to a five/six speed and what parts are needed.

Are you sure? I've never seen or heard a Mach 1 in a Mustang II body style.....

Mustang IIs did come with 4 speeds so a 4 speed swap could be done. A T5 or T56 can be done too if you have an imagination and good fabrication skills.

You would have to buy a kit and a steel bellhousing and make a trans crossmember. Thats just off the top of my head for a T-5. I am not real sure what you have, but like Darrell said, they came with a 4 speed stock.

Where did you hear that? My dad had a couple of Mustang IIs and they were 302/4-speed cas. They were plain jane, not a mach 1 or anything special like that. A few of my friends from back then had Mustang IIs as well.

1975 was the 1st year they put 302s in the Mustang II. In 1974 they did not have a V8 in the Mustang.

I didn't say it didn't exist. I just asked if you were sure because out of the many I've seen I have never seen a Mach 1 Mustang II.
