Information question
I have built 69 mach1 one and now i want to build a 65 mustang is there a web site that shows you detailed info. I want to visual see what each part of the car looked like from the factory. I want to come as close as i can to having the car look like it rolled of the line at dearborn. If there any information that would help please send. Thanks chris

your best bet is probably google. Or you could tell me what in particular you're looking for, and i could take a picture of my car for you.

I just got a 65 vert.
Let me ask you a question the date code on the block seems to match the car. The car was born on feb 10, 1965 but the date code on the block reads C5AE6015E 4L12 .The last few #s tell me that the motor was manufactured on november 12 1964. I know the AE was left there on the block bc they used the motors for Galaxies and they also used left over motors from those years to put in cars on later dates. So i guess my question is could this be the original block for the car. Thanks Chris |

Well, I hate to tell you, but everything I can find seems to be about 1920's to 1950s motors, not really later. So, I dunno what to tell ya.
I would say that if they're the same code, the build dates are close enough to say that it is the original, if their codes are different then they're definitely not.

Yes that would be the correct dates for your car.
Good Luck. Look at my site and you see 65-66 built from the ground up. |
