Drum to Disc Brake Swap

I am currently looking to upgrade my 4 lug drum brakes to all 5 lug discs. Does anyone know of a good kit to swap at least the front brakes that will not completely break my checking account?

I am doing to swap mainly because of the 302 that is going under the hood...but I really want to get some discs on the front if not the rear as well.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

sorry but if you want to do a good brake swap its gonna cost more than $540.

u could get new splines to convert it into a 5 lug (if its a 7.5 rear end just get a 8.8 5 lug rear end or your gonna regret it in the long run) on the front brakes they are disk but get a better set up and its gonna cost around $160 just for tha cal and brake pads combo at summit, but you might want to get a new brake booster and master cylinder. for the back its goin to be $500 to $1000 may be a little more because of the swap your doin.

well good luck man

You're in the classic section, not the fox section.

Wilwood 140-4304B - Wilwood Dynalite Pro Series Front Disc Brake Kits with HP Rotors - summitracing.com

for the wilwoods, however, I think 460 will have a brilliant product, and obviously cheaper. These are $672

This Looks Like a Great Deal on that diskbrakeswap.com

SWAP.1.1.3/M: 64-66 V8 with manual steering & manual brakes, 8 CYL SPINDLES REQUIRED
$525 + S&H

You will need 65/66 V8 Spindles and Pitman Arm Drag Link andinner & outter Tie rod ends.

But you will have a nice front end.

It would Be Great IF we could buy Brand new 1965/66 V8 spindles.
But no one has done it yet. Not even Mustang Plus has them new. =/

I wish also.

Happy with disk swap kit

discbrakeswap.com

Went with him and the granada spindles. He designed the spindles to eliminate bump steer with the 65 and 66. Everything is in the kit, works great and highly recommend him. Dennis answered all my emails quickly before and after I bought from him.
The KH disk kit is probably better IF you have the the 5 lug spindles already.
No running around trying to get any parts, everything is there and NEW. Tried the junkyard route but after 1/2 a day in pick and pull and no luck, I am HAPPY I gave up and went with this kit.
