Is the cross member the same for a auto as a standard? I don't know. I have only played with my Mustang. A 302 and 289 should be the same. Whats wrong with the old one? Why did you have to get a new one?

It has be a long time, but I don't think the I6 and V8 cross members are the same. Don't know what that has to do with it, but something to think about.
