so a query. . .
I'm planning on drilling out a broken intake bolt out of my head, what are some pointers or tips to be aware of? im planning on using a drill press and having the hole level up and down. i'm planning on soaking the bitch with penetrating oil.

oh i forgot to mention i already broke three easy outs the first time i tried this a couple yrs back. . .

Soak in Marvel Mystery oil.
Drill pilot hole to fit largest possible Easy-Out. Use carbide bit because these bolts are hard. Work Easy-Out while tapping the end with a hammer. The vibration helps break threads loose. You might try an impact wrench if it has a low torque setting. Also heating area around bolt sometime helps. |
