hood leveling


do you guys have any hints on how to do this? i put my hood on and the new bumpers from mustangs plus and my hood dont sit right im pretty sure i got the bumpers on there right. Now it sits kinda high all along the fenders on both sides and the back. about 1/4-1/2 inch all along the length and width. any help would be appreciated it's a 69 coupe with no engine or tranny. . .

The only thing Ive ever seen done is when a mechanic of mine opened the hod and actually "twisted" in on the hinges till it sat right. That method seemed so neanderthal but damn, it worked.

Those hoods are really bad about that. You just have to keep making adjustments until you get it right, but I would not "twist" my hinges it were me.

Lower the front hood adjustable bumpers and lower the hood hindges. and i have had to keep the front top bolt on the hood hinge tight and losten the other 2 and lift the hood up till the hidge rotated backwards and then tighten the other 2 bolts on eact side.
