It is funny you ask, We are doing the same thing now.

We carry the adapter kit to switch from 4 Speed to 5 Speed for $450

All you have to do is add this adapter and use your same clutch pedal set up and same bell housing and Clutch.
The kit comes with adapter plate, Drive shaft yoke, and tranny mount. Takes a day to swap them.

We use this one It is 1399.99 at Jegs

But you can use any ford 5 speed from a 85 to 94.

Just remember the 4 Cyl & 6 Cyl you have to change the pilot bushing to a 93 6 Cyl Probe bushing.

The thing you might look at. I like the 4 Cyl and 6 Cyl because there not trashed yet.

And the 4 Cyl have the higher gear ratio for the first gear.
makes a 3:00 rear end feel like a 3:75 gears

Here is a Link to putting T5's in a old Mustang

What do you mean by 4's and 6's is there a difference in the transmission?

You will only want to use the T5 from a 5.0 Mustang from the years 85 to 93.
The World Class T5 will handle the torque but the others will not.
Here is a good reference link

O I meant to ask whats everything i would need for the swap from the stock 4 speed to a t-5 5 speed?

I heard the only thing you need is the 5.0 tranny and a k member or something like that.

Good info that I used when converting my 3 speed to a T5 in the 66 coupe

T5 Swap, T5 Conversion, Mustang T5 Swap, Auto to Manual Transmission -FordMuscle.com

5 Speed Conversions

Go to Craigslist for the T5. Expect to pay 300 to 600 for one that has not been abused from a 5.0 Mustang
