it all depends on your suspension setup and whether your leafs are worn. i'm running 215/65/15 on my car, with air shocks to prevent rubbage. but the tires are tall.

On My 1965 in my aviator, I am using a 1967 8" Rear end New Mid Eye Leaf Springs.

With Monroe Gas matics Shocks $15 Ea. Rides Great

My Rims are 17X9 with a 5" Back Space.

245/45/17 Fuzion Tires. The Tire Clear my Leaf Spring by 1/4" and Clear the Lip of the wheel well by 1/8.
My Lip of the wheel well is rolled. The tire goes up into the wheel well. Full tank of gas and 4 people going into a drive way slop no rubs.

the flare is about 4", its a kit from Maier racing that the previous owner had installed,
I've decided I like them and it does allow for some rubber
