Headliner Replacement
I was trying to install a new headliner in my 67 and it doesn't seem to fit right in the back. Has anyone else here replaced their headliner? I've never changed one before, so this is new to me.

Don't you need a heat gun or something.
I think the ribs are color coded. Let me see if I can find a old magazine about it.

The ribs were actually numbered, I did get that far, just in the back it seems there is not enough material to cover on the sides. I wonder if I may have bought one for a fb instead of a coupe. I got it about 2 years ago no instructions.

They make a tool just for tucking it in around the trim, it looks like a curved drywall knife.

Cliff, check NPD's online catalog, you can download sections or the whole thing. It's in the upholstery section, page 26 in the new catalog. The item # is: 935-2 and lists for $7.95. If you call in the order, request their catalog, they are handy for these cars. Where bouts do you live (State), they have 4 different stores, on each corner of the US basically.

I've been thinking about this Cliff, but how would it fit if you cut the excess off the back part, and leave just enough to tuck in behind the trim real good?

I was looking at it a little bit today, and I think I might be able to make it work if I put the rods a little bit further ahead.

I found an installation guide today and they recommend removing the windshield and back glass. Any opinions?
