shuddering and stalls on highway

My 66 is shuddering and stalls only when it's going down the highway. It is only when im going pretty fast over 70 that is dose it and then soon as I start driving in town it goes away and it only happens after the motor is warmed up and ive been driving on the high way for a while . I have oil presser but my temp gauge is broken. Could it be over heating? What else could be causing this?

Sounds Like Fuel, If it has a old gas tank it could be rusting inside and clogging up your fuel filter.

But Plz Fix your Temp guage. it is a very easy fix. First question is does your gas guage work ? If it does, Under the hood the temp Wire is the Red with White Stripe. On a 289/302 it plugs up to a brass sensor on the intake in front of the carbrator, on the drive side. With the key on take the wire lose and short it to a bolt on the intake, It should go to hot doing this. if it does your sensor is bad. They are only $11 at your local NAPA.

If it dosnt it is the connection to the guage or the the guage. I can tell you how to fix this. Just Let me know.
