I love the 289. It is a bad ass little motor. It must be one of the quickest motors ford made.

yeah it pretty much is the best motor ford made. It is bulletproof. Although not literally. But it has way more potential than the 302. If you work a 289 right you can make even the hi-po look like crap. Its a shame it was only used for about 4 years in mustangs.

I built a 289 with a blower and made 520 hp...loved how that motor revved

i have a 289 high performance engine and i am about to drop it in my '67 fastback.. the fastback is a numbers matching car so of course we will keep the original engine too
