well probably no more than a bout 1,000. im 17 and my job dosnt pay very well. and about the nitrous i have thought about doing that but my engine is completly stock except for a new carb. is it safe to put nitrous on a stock engine.. i guess my question is would i have to worry about the nitrous pushing it to hard and breaking somthing

What do you want to do with the car? Daily driver or track car? My 68 J code has a mild cam, Edelbrock performer intake and 600 cfm 4 barrel, Hedman long tubes, o/r h and flowmasters. It has a 4 speed with a 9 inch rear. It looks and sounds great but it is no speed demon. You can make the older cars fast but it generally takes alot of money. That being said the 68 Fastback gets more looks and people talking to me than the Mach. However, the Mach would absolutely run circles around the 68.

I would start with a Edelbrock performer intake and carb and a mild cam. Then get some headers when you can come up with the cash. Some new heads would be nice too.

you can put nitrous on the car fairly inexpesive and if you stay with a shot around 100 you should be fine on a stock engine and not have to tear into the engine...

this is all of course based on the fact that the engine is in good condition
