Functional Hood scoop...

Hey all,

I have a 69 coupe and recently bought another stock hood to replace the heavily bondo'd one that's on their now. However, I also purchased a Boss scoop and I want to do the cutout for it and everything....

The guy at the shop told me all I need to do is get a smaller air filter and something to kinda seal aroudn the filter when the hood is shut?

Can anyone help me on exactly what I should get?

As of right now I have a 302 with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb in there but I have a 351 windsor I'm rebuilding if that makes a difference. What size filter should I get? And what should I get to seal around it for the ram air effect??

Thanks a lot.

Just use one of these, looks alot better and there only $495
When you open your hood people will not wonder what the hell did he do.
They will just say that is awsome.
And come with the templet to cut the hood out.

Thanks... I will definitely look into that. Not so sure I have $495 to drop right now so I may just mount my scoop on and wait for a while to make it functional.

Do you have a link for that?? Cause that does look sick and 10x easier than what i was gonna do.

Thanks so much

You can get those from pretty much any mustang parts retailer. You can go to cal-mustang.com or cjponyparts.com both of them should have it as well as a good amount of any other retailers.

We carry them for $495.
They are in stock ready to ship today, or when you are ready.
