67 mustang wiring issue


alright here goes on my 67 the majority of the panel lights up the only issue is that the two key components on my dashboard (the speedometer and the gas gauge) remain unlight. any ideas as to why this might be? just fyi this is my first resto.

The main reason, Light bulbs are burned out.

It is a easy fix. Just follow the speed o cable up and unscrew it.

Then remove the 6 screws holding the panel in.

Unplug the connector.

then the bulbs holders just pop out.

Push in and twist the bulbs and they will just pop out.

The Bulbs are 1895's Just go by a box of them and replace them all.

I have a similar problem. I replaced the bulbs and they still don't work. Except all of my gauges don't light up.

For you, First try twisting the headlight switch knob to the left while the lights are on and see if they are just turned to the dimmer side.

If not, Look atthe little fuse in the fuse panel see if it is blown.

Last is replace the head light switch itself.
