There's about a billion things you can do with a 302. Jegs and Summit would be a good start. Any specific mod you are looking for?

Are you talking about Mustang II parts or just 302 parts? The stock 76 302 was slow. You got to put a little horsepower in it.

Personally, I'd hit up some junk yards and try to find one from a fox. If ya can, installing it with the EFI isn't a bad idea either. Faster starts in winter and no vapor lock in the summer. I still love my carbs tho.

I have a 302 with a .030 overbore I'm looking to sell. I'll PM you a little more on it. It's not perfect, but it'll work.

ugh.... the dreaded mustang two. i figured out why they wer so crappy, i read about em and didnt know this before, but for the mustang II years, they replaced the foundation parts of the mustang (which up till then the stang was based on the falcon) with pinto parts, and we all hate the pinto im sure. lol. but ya, check out summitracing.com theyve got it all for cheap and good luck on your restoration project!!!

I worked on one when I worked at pep boys. It had purple to green flip-flop paint, purple SHAG interior (seats, steering wheel, door linings and dash cover), kick ass sound system and 18" CHROME, like super duper shiny chrome, rims. It was the funniest thing I ever seen there.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Pinto

crappy car and caused the birth of a crappy mustang

but im done and its just my opinion, lets not be imature and argue, some people may like it and thats ok with me

Show me a car that was not a pos in the 70s. The Mustang could be made into a nice car that could haul ass.
