update on the mustang.

I just sent the car off to paint today. Going with a silver smoke grey color. Its going to look badass. I want to thank everyone for their help with the decisions on the car. I have a few more questions. The headlights are very dull on the car. I bought all new harness for the entire car that i hope will increase the brightness but i was going to upgrade the headlights to something more modern like halogen.

K.A.R. Auto Group - Halogen Tri-Bar Headlight Kit 1965-68 & 1970-1973

I found this link to a kit. Does anyone know if these will work or does anyone know of a better kit to get. Im up for suggestions.

Thanks
Aaron

Make sure the new wiring can handle the current for halogens.
They get very hot

The current draw is not more than the wiring can handle...

The head light switch has a biult in curcuit break if the pull to much they will just go off.

I bought the headlights from summit that you told me worked great MustangOne. I do have a question though. The mian reason that i bought new headlight harness was because my headlights were going out when i drove. It was like a short so i thought it was the foot switch and replaced that but i havent tested it since i re-installed it. Should i buy a new headlight switch? Could that be the reason it was shorting out. I i dont think that the switch is bad but you said something about a circuit breaker so i thought i would ask.

Check your grounds, one is by the voltage regulator. and the other is behind the battary.

The head light switch, if it is the old one you need to replace it anyways.

You can go to your local parts house and get the switch also.

I didnt think yours was a 64 1/2,
if your horns are mounted on the frame rails your a 64 1/2
