oh....my....IVY GOLD

Does anyone have any idea what paintjob goes well with Ivy Gold interior for a 67 fastback mustang? This is killing me trying to find a paintjob for my car. It'll be stock for a while but I just want to put my mind at ease knowing what color it will eventually be. I looked up marti reports to see the combos that came with that interior and I can't find any. I want highland green (bullitt) or dark green metallic (stock 67 color), can't decide which yet, and I'm getting some bad feedback about the colors. Just to let you know, if you run into a Marine anytime in your life that thinks he knows about cars, don't ask him for his opinion on style with them. I say "does green look good?" and I get "looks like puke", "jesus what's wrong with you" "you're a weird guy man" "wouldn't be my first choice", and am then told what THEY would do, which actually helps me because their choices void their opinion on green looking bad completely. Things like "give it some boggin tires", "cut the doors off", "paint it camo", "give it a lift", "put humvee seats in there" (that's not motivated military speak, that's literally what they're telling me), and THEN even the smallest questions like "how does that GT500 gauge cluster look?" is answered with "not enough gauges", "where's the alternator gauge?" and "if it doesn't have oil or alternator gauges don't get it" as if I'm expecting my car to break down every trip, and completely disregard anything style-related to the cluster. The only problem is I'm surrounded by disgusting taste like this (that's about 20 separate opinions from people, none of which is positive, surrounded is a fitting word), so I've got no outside opinions on what I can get that would look GOOD and not practical, and my decisions are overwhelmingly disagreed with, like not a single person says green looks good. It's creeping me out. Although, is there any other color that can go with Ivy Gold interior well? Green's still my first choice, but just curious. Thanks guys

That is funny as hell.

If I was you, I would throw in the thought of changing the color of the interior.

It only cost about 1k to replace dash pad, door panels, carpet, seat covers and repaint the the other areas.
I would wait a year after you got it home and do it the exact way you like your car.
Not having to settle for what you get.
Then you could paint the car the color you Really want too....
The seats in mine are $699

I don't know what color green interior another guy had, but he painted the outside of hit 71 Legend Lime Green.

That's quite a good idea Mustangone. I didn't realize it'd be that cheap, I thought interior would be a big-ticket item. Although anyone got any ideas for what I can do for a paintjob with Ivy Gold interior right now? What Mustangone put is literally my interior in case you're having trouble figuring out the color. Thanks guys

Here is a link to House of Kolor's shimrin designer perl colors.
ShimrinŽ Kandy Basecoats
I think the Lime gold or the limetime would be good
For a plain metallic check out the Zenith gold, Solar gold or Planet green.

I took a look at those colors but I'm not looking for literal gold, just some shade of green or other colors that go with a green interior. It's called Ivy Gold...well I don't know why, but it's not gold in any way. It's like flat silver and darker silver with a green tint. Is it possible that navy blue with silver le mans stripes, would actually fit this car? It doesn't seem like that's possible, but if it doesn't look too weird (I'm not great with color combos) I would really like to do that.

He is just asking you what you think looks good with ivy gold interior.

Dark moss Green Like the bullet car would look good. is what I said. or change the color of the interior and paint it the color of his choice.

Don't settle for a paint that matches the interior. Save up the money, and make it look how you want it. If you want a vibrant orange Mustang, change the interior, too. It'll take a little longer to restore, but it looks good as-is. Make it what you want it, not what's cheapest.

Yeah I think I'm gonna. I like the idea of a green fastback, and actually if I had to choose I'd take my coupe's interior first (2-tone blue) and "ivy gold" second out of all the interior choices they had in 67, but I don't plan on having 2x fastbacks at any one point so I think I'll just make this my dream. I really like the idea of the coupe+fastback=blue+green color combo but it's not practical if I ultimately plan on having the navy blue+silver dream. So yeah the idea of switching out the interior is starting to grow on me. Thanks for the opinions
