every time i hear that same old song about a classic can't compare to a new car, i want to remind people that any car you have, regardless of when it was built, can be made to perform.

there are those that say, why do you still have a carb on your car? convert to efi, you'll reap the rewards in fuel mileage. i say, patooey, if you could tune a carb to save your life your money wouldn't be going out the tailpipe.

now, don't get me wrong, the innovations in the current crop of cars are many, but they have their place. much like my carb has its place. don't get all bogged down in the bull. if you want classic muscle, then make the investment and the commitment. if you just want to have a fast car, there are too many out there for you to even consider going 'old school'. it will take a lot of work and a lot of money, but in the end you will have a one of a kind - it'll be yours and you built it. not many new cars respond as well to enhancements without also having to upgrade the computer parameters. so in addition to the coupla grand you spend in speed parts you also have to spend money to get the computer "tuned". i'll stick to my carb, thankyouverymuch.
