This is what I use

High horsepower? No problem--put your power to the ground with the help from Moser Engineering.
If you are looking for a stronger replacement for your standard differential, Moser Engineering Auburn Pro Series limited slip differentials are the answer. Available for most popular rear differentials, they are designed to provide more torque and faster engagement for controlled power transfer and quicker reaction to changing load conditions. Whether you're building a street vehicle or an all-out race vehicle, these Moser Engineering Auburn Pro Series limited slip differentials add reliability and consistency to your drivetrain.

What do you think of this unit, mustangone?

Powertrax 1810-LR - Powertrax Lock-Right Lockers - summitracing.com

it's cheaper, but it's more 'off brand'

This is probably one of those 'you get what you pay for' things, eh?

A stock Ford 9" traction-loc should work fine.
I believe '68-69 should bolt right in.

Do you know how rare of of a part you are calling for there Kobra.

90% of All mustang have a Limited Slip Carrier, The lockers are far and few.

And 90% of 67/68 had to be a Big Block car to have a 9"

That Powertrax 1810-LR Locker should be fine. Just be sure you know how to install it. You have to use your old carrier.

The one I use has all new carrier.
