fastback upper scoops/rear speaker

I'm looking to put some Shelby upper scoops on my fastback but don't know what's required to install them. They're also pretty expensive (over $100 a piece) so I'm not just gonna buy them and hope they fit. Are they made to go over the original louvers, or does it take some professional work to install them?

Also a smaller question, I was reading the original factory specs sheet the car came with and with all the little options the cars had, there's one I'm really curious about. It says there was a "rear speaker" option for the stereo system, is that true? And if so, where was this thing installed? I have no place to put rear speakers in the fastback so if there was an area they installed them in the factory I'll just replicate that. Thanks guys

The upper shelby style scoop is a easy part to install. you have to remove the old upper grill, you remove the inside upper slide panel 12 screws, the remove the 8 nuts that hold the upper grill on. then sand the new scoop to fit. May need some filler to make it fit tightly. Then Paint to match.

The rear speakers, the original one had 1 speaker in the middle of the trap door.

What we do is find trap door people have already cut for 6x9's. There is a cheap plastic trap door made with speaker holes also.

We are working on making rear corner speaker panels.

Alright so professional work for the scoops, damn. That's alright though. I'm researching the trap door right now, I didn't even know they had them until today. So was the rear speaker only optional in Fastbacks? Coupes had that big deck for easy 6"x9" installs but I don't think that was an original option was it?

You can check Ebay for scoops cheaper than that.

Well they're for 67-68 fastbacks so I don't think so. Even 67-8 coupes wouldn't take them
