If that motor is in running or rebuildable condition, it's worth a nice little chunk. Got a pic of the car? Hard to guestimate the value without a pic.

i paid 6k for my 72 with a 351c, and yes if the motor is all there and runs, or is fixable, it could be well worth your time and money

do you know if its a 2bbl or 4bbl?

but yes let us see pics

If it runs, not a dime over $1500. Not running, $800 tops. That car looks to be salvageable/restorable.

that is the cleveland engine though, looks like a 2bbl, still if its the original motor it was rated at 240hp, ur gonna have a lot of work ahead of you, but worth the restore

she wants 500 for the car with everything so i might just part it out depending on the body and how bad it is, i would like to restore it but i have 3 foxbodys and one 79 ford f150. think that engine would put out good numbers if i rebuilt it and puts some aftermarket parts on it? would it be worth it to rebuild it.

351 clevelands and 351 windsors are 2 different motors

351w is in the 90 degree engine family along with the 302 boss, its pretty much just a slightly enlarged 302, still a good motor though

the 351 cleveland and the 351 modified are both in the 335 engine family, i dont know much about the 351m's besides they had 2v carbs, cleveland heads, hydraulic lifters, and a cast iron intake manifold

the 351 cleveland had an option of either a 2v or 4v carb, canted-valve cyclinder heads, bore and stroke of 4.00 X 3.50

the 4v heads from these motors are what make them so popular cause they are closed and not to mention huge, measuring 2.19" intake and 1.7n" exhaust

heres a little info from mustangone and kobra killer from a previous 351c thread

"The 2V cleveland is better for daily driving, The heads are good from Idle to 5500

Just remember when buying a 4V intake for the 2V head that you get a 4V intake for a 2V Cleveland.

The 4V Heads good for 2500 to 7500 RPM

The Cleveland use the same motor mounts and Bell house set as a 289/302/351W"

"You just need to think about what you are trying to build.

If you are building a blown alcohol motor we would do alot of thing diffirent.

What I think you are trying to do is build a great cruzier with good power that you can drive every day.

What we need is Carb 750cfm holly, Intake, Headers, Cam 280/280 .512 110lc, compression 10:1/1

Just need to have a good game plan. Money goes quikly."

"On both 2V & 4V heads
1. Upgrade the valves to 1 piece stainless
2. Hardened seats on the exhaust.
3. 7/16" stud mounted adjustable rockers, guide plates, & hardened push rods.
4. Roller tip rockers are best.
5. Major porting isn't required but clean up the surfaces & casting lines with 80 grit.
6. 4V heads work best with a dual grind cam like Comp Cams XE series or Lunati VooDoo.
7. Get a cam designed to work in the RPM ranges listed by Mustangeone.
8. With the heavy wagon I would build for low end torque. That means 2V heads.
EB Performer intake & 650cfm Performer carb. 2V headers & 2 1/5" dual exhaust.
Cams - Lunati 7111 or 62502, Comp Cams XE262H or 268H."

probably a lot to take in right now lol, but def. some good options for these motors, they are fun to work on and can easily produce power

as far as the rear end, it should have the 9"

im not sure of all the tranny options but a few were a c4 auto, c6 auto, 4 speed standard

4 bolt mains are not necessary unless reving over 7000rpm.
2 bolt can be modified to 4 Because the caps & block are the same.
