69 restore

Hey guys,
I have a 69 mustang thats a pretty much a rolling shell right now dash is still on everything else is gone. I have a 351 w tore apart to put back in it. upgrades: i want to do are fix floor quarter panels and one front fender and door I want a modern suspension, i want to stroke out the engine to a 408, 9' rearend with a tru track limited slip differential. 3:73 gears, tranny i am not sure about but it will be auto( injuries prevent me having a standard) for you guys that have already done this sort of thing what kind of money am i talking about so i can work up a budget. would it be cheaper to have a resto shop do it or myself? thanks guys

for you to do it, takes about 20k.
For some one like us to do it is about 24K

without that motor. the motor is $5900

Look at my site and you can get some ideas.

It also depends on how much new stuff you have to buy. If the car is only a rolling shell it will probably cost you at least 20K. Also would you do the paint yourself? If you have some professional shop do it, that alone will cost anywhere over 5K. All the little stuff you have to buy adds up a whole lot quicker than you think.

thanks guys your input. I am a virtual newbie when it comes to cars. I know alittle stuff, but not enough to restore a car like that. The hands on stuff i could do but the body work and painting maybe not.
