just replace the rear springs. It will raise 2". Please no air shocks.
New springs cost just a little more and will ride good. Also if you use a 8" rim with a back space of 4.5" of rear they will go into the wheel well still. 7" rim on front |

Springs will help. By having air shocks you have the risk of having the shock rip through the shock bracket that holds it on and possibly rip off the bracket off the car. That is why I get gas shocks.

in 1984 I added air shocks on my 1973 Mach1, The ride went to shit, then 1 year later the LH one push trough the trunk floor.
I replace the leaf springs and it rode good again and raised the rear end 2". |

if you dump an air shock with wide tires, think of the quarter damage it can do.

I have heard a lot about peoples air shocks tearing then they have to replace the shocks any ways. So i would go with a good setof shocks and it will raise the rear end up enough for those tires you have.
