I think I figured it out.

I have been tring to find out what has been making my dam engine pop on the passenger side only. It has been sitting for the most part of 07. The beginning of 08 I swore to myself I would get this car running and movable.Well I got it running but this dam popping noise comes out of the muffler on the passenger side and I could not figure out what was happening so I ask yall. The feedback was to try checking my carb to see if it was adjusted correctly, maybe try 1/2 a quart of trans fluid in the oil and runn for 20 min at 2500 rpm's, that didnt work. While at work I was talkin to a co-worker who had a 68 coupe and he told me that maybe the lifters are getting bad, I started thinkin and maybe hes right. So this month of october is dedicated to geting the engine running right while finishing up the front suspention and steering components. But if there is any other ideas please feel free to let me know.Im all ears.

My dads 350 does that. We don't know why. Mine does it because I run rich so that it will drive correctly.

my mach 1 was popping through the carb once, but that was because of a bent pushrod and broken rocker arm lol, but im pretty sure i have a bad lifter right now too, but it only ticks when my engine gets low oil pressure, no more popping
