need tech help


hi i have a 351w when i start it up i have a knocking noise but when car warms up it goes away could this be a sticky lifter

Possibly yes. Is it coming from the top of the motor. If it is the tapping is caused by something in the area as you have already mentioned. I would check the setting on your rocker arms to be safe.

There are several things it could be be. Is it a true "knock," or is it more of a tick? Sometimes describing noises on the internet makes it tough to diagnose the problem.

i want to say it was louder than a tick more like a tap and it differently sounded like it was from the top of the motor

is it consistant or does it speed up with throttle? sounds like what my mach 1 was doing, it had a sticky lifter, and u could really hear it when the oil was getting thin

Sounds to me like i need to just do a top end swap where can i get a good HCI at not looking for a crazy amount of hp but would like a big lobed cam would want to try to make around 350hp at the crank
