Calling Computer Masters

ok usually when it comes to computers i can manage, but this problem eludes me

you know the setting on your laptop where it will automatically dims down your screen when you run on the battery? well i want to disable that but i cant find where to do it

the problem is, my battery is completely out of my laptop and im running off the AC, but yet the screen flickers back and forth from dim to bright, and its fucking annoying cause everytime it goes dim i have to brighten the screen again just for it to dim again any help would be greatly appreciated

it should be under power options...

Idk about HP but in Toshiba you could go to battery power settings in the power saver modes and click on details button, brings up another window in which you choose the power saver mode and it asks you at what processor speed, screen brightness, system standby, ect depending at what % of battery you have.

I'm sure you just need to look further into it.

Try this:

Control Panels
Power Options
power Schemes pull down
Try changing that to maximum performance or presentation. That may do it.

well i never found a specific battery power options menu, but i did go ahead and reset all the settings to never (like hibernation, stand by, that stuff) and clicked apply again, and so far it stopped doing it but we'll see how long it lasts...ill keep looking though, thanks!
