Anyone know anything about DVD HD Upconverters

like the title states. Was thinking about picking one up for 50 bux, as apposed to buying a blue ray player for 250 bux.

my ps3 was the best thing i've ever bought. i have linux on it, i have a ton of blu ray movies and couldn't be any happier. i haven't played any games on it though but will soon.

you mean blu ray player? cause getting an hd dvd player would be a waste of money since they don't make 'hd' dvds only blu ray. 'hd dvds' lost

yes i know this but they will upscale your dvds to 1080i which is what the object here is. plus people will be getting rid of them and buying blu-ray since they lost. now do you follow where im going? lol

i say just watch regular dvd's. I still cracks me up people wanting to spend that much on players and those blue rays to have just a little bit better picture.

it just has a higher resolution, thus giving more detail.
