ok i got to court Jan. 26th. for driving while suspended and speeding. i got off of probation Dec 2nd. and it happend a few weeks before. had to go to court for it the 4th but i got it post-poned(sp?). anyway, the police officer was a complete and total dick, not only to me but to my parents to. here's the thing me and this kid w/a stang hangout in town. so one night we were leaving to go home at like 12a.m. we both have to go the same direction but at a light i have to go left and he keeps going straight(the road is a 40mph zone). so the officer says we "lined" them up and raced, which we didnt! he says i was doing a 55 in a 40mph zone, back at the street we were both on, BUT i didnt see police lights till i was 1/2 mile down the other road in a 45mph zone! then i pulled over. needless to say i kept asking to see the radar gun and he says no(we went at that 20x's over) and when my parents got there my dad asked to see it and he says no again, and the police officer is being a total dick and says well he shouldnt do 55mph in a 40 zone. and i was like "i wasnt going that fast" and he said "well maybe 50mph you were doing. WTF?!. anyway the cop wrote the tickets and my car got impounded.

btw, i didnt even know my license was suspended! they were suspended for not taking defensive driving tape. my F'ing probation officer told me i didnt even need to take it! we never got a letter we had to or a notice from the BMV. wtf?

also on the ticket it says pulled over for doing 55 in a 40mph zone on 9th street. and the towing ticket says it was towed from state road 25. wouldnt that make a difference? i mean the ticket saying 9th street but getting towed from state road 25?

o yeah, i did the defensive driving, as soon as i got my license back i got pulled over! twice and they thought my license was suspended. wtf? did the officer tell all of the other cops it was suspended so be on the watch for me or something?

get a lawyer if possible. you are entitled to see the radar gun and the police certification paper

as far as the suspension goes, it wont matter if you knwe or not (i've been there). if its all a mix up, have the state send you papers verifying your lisence was just fine.

if you have a lawyer, he should be able to take care of all of it.

Regardless how the police acted, that fact will not help you in court. It doesn't really matter, because their job is to find, arrest, and help prosecute you.

Your best bet is to hire a lawyer. Lawyers know all of the laws and their loopholes, what police can and can't do, and mostly, what they have to do. Most people do not know all of the specifics, and police use this to their advantage.

You could be looking at some hefty fines if you got pulled over with the suspended license. This is where the lawyer will also help. Sometimes they do plea bargaining in order to reduce charges against you. I know this because my lawyer got my wreckless driving charge (class B misdemeanour) reduced to a class C in June 2007.

a judge can throw out charges if tickets are wrong but thats a can. geta lawyer cause w out one u sound fucked. if u were "lined up" where was the other car? y didnt he get a ticket? good things to ask. also time to get a hair cut and grow a mustache or beard or something and repaint and retag car cause guess wat my friend, u and ur car(s) are tagged. they dont give a shit wat kinda person u are cause this asshole has run ur name into ground. Ive been there, both my stangs are tagged now cause ive smoked a state trooper. my best friends been thru same thing. these guys dont play by the rules any more and u and ur dad are gonna have to pay but it sounds to my like ur dads pissed too. ur dad needs to go to court w u cause that helps a whole lot if ur a minor, or still living at home as a student. if u have any questions pm me cause ive got plenty of friends who've had todo this and i have cops i know that i can ask. hope this helps.

Sounds like a case of your getting screwed......so my answers to your questions would be in line with AB's, and furthermore, get a lawyer. That is what they specialize in. I wouldn't take advice from any one else on this.
