Simple Green
Simple Green is ok to use to clean a K&N filter right? I already did so its too late now anyways. I ran out of the K&N shit and didnt feel like going to the store. I think its says not to use gasoline to clean it but thats about it.

Yes. I checked that. I have a can and a half of it. I've been using Simple Green on everything forever. Not because Im some kind of tree hugger either. Seems to work well. But you guys say the Purple shit works better?
And I rinsed the living piss out of it. The filter gets so shitty here in FL. I have another question though. The screws that hold the filter on to the tube (shroud) are getting "loose". Its because the plastic that the screw go's into is starting to get slightly "stripped". Any idea's on how to tighten that hole so I can keep a good seal there? The screws are fine but the plastic they go into are starting to wear out and lose their "grooves" for the screw. |
