Good snowboard brands

Well now that i am hooked I need to know what snowboard brands are good, i know of the main 2 which are Burton and Ride, but i am also trying to not spend 600 bucks for my first board. Are LTD's any good, what about Nitro.

if you want a good board then go with a name brand like burton. i've had a burton for over 10 years and i still use it. i don't go that often which is why i didn't buy a new board

I just found the coolest site, its called tramdock.com, it only shows one item for sale and that one item is like 80% off and they have a limited quantity and limiited time to get it, then it goes to the next sale item. I have a pop-up option now that tells me when the next sale item is on the site but i just got my wife a pair of oakley snowboard pants regular 130 for 35 bucks, brand new.

I have six burton boards ( going in age from 12 years old to new ). I will swear by burton boards. I would steer clear of LTD or Nitro. There is alot mroe to a board than just a sheet of material with some holes in it.

If you go with a Burton, Ride, or Rome, you are going to get a board that delivers and lasts. Obviously they are expensive. The Nitro, Morrow, LTD, etc are all boards you can find at places like Dicks and Sports Authority if you don't want to spend the money. They are decent and will hold up for a few seasons. I have also seen those boards split at the nose and tail. They run around $200 or so.

When I got my Ride, I just said fuck it and spent the cash cause I know it was more of an investment. Like I said, try looking at getting a used one. you know what you need, so look for it. I will search a bit to since I spent the last 2 hours watching Pablo Fransisco on youtube.

^ I agree with him about a used one. Your first board you will beat to hell and back. I have seen Used Burton boards and bindings for for sub $200 all day.

BTW - How big are you and how much do you weigh?

If you think you will be going boarding more in the future, then I would consider purchasing a Burton. They are like the ferrari of snow boards.

^ A 165 is going to be way too small for him. He needs a 158 if not a 160. But A 158 should be perfect for you. Im 5'10 and 175 lbs. I ride a 158 down the mountain and a 156 when Im messing about in the parks.

I mean 165 is going to be too big and hard to handle... Not to small.
