Yeah, are country is really progressing nicely. That's why women and children are raped and murdered daily all across the country. Criminals are given rights and second chances that they don't deserve. And our country is slowly but surely loosing it's respect by other world super powers. And aids is spreading like a wild fire.

Once again, this country was founded on Christian ethics. That doesn't say that everyone has to be a Christian, but we shouldn't be forced to hide the pride that we have. The way I see it, if you don't like the Christian symbolisms than either ignore it, deal with it, move on, or get out.

I guess I don't see how having crosses on govenment property is forcing anything down anyones throat....I also believe that Church and Government should be seperate.

But like I said, this country and it's founding fathers where rooted in Christian beliefs.

Sadly, groups like the ACLU are trying to throw all that out. I guarantee you until the day I die it will be One Nation Under God for me and no will take that away from me.

That's because they were afraid of what would have happened had that NOT been there. There was a lot more religious intolerance in the mid-late 1700's than there is now.

How would you feel as a Christian if it said "One nation under Allah"? Is "In Jehovah we trust" okay? What about Yahweh? I'd be willing to be that all of these options would cause a lot of anger in a lot of people, and we're not even getting into different gods here, just different names for the God of the Abrahamic faiths.

Just because the country was founded by Christians doesn't make it a Christian country. They elected to write the founding papers in such a manner as to not favor one religion over another; that people of all creeds could express themselves without fear or persecution.

We have signs in the Capitol dissing Christmas, government wants to remove "In God we trust", crosses, remove God from all schools, and on and on.... The issue here is that basic constitutional rights are to protect the minority. Freedom of speech is there so that an unpopular opinion can be expressed, freedom of religion is there so that an unpopular religion may be practiced.

I don't believe for a second that this issue has anything to do with Arlington. Those crosses are there to represent the faith of the individual fallen; here's a link to the accepted/authorized emblems: Authorized Emblems
