So, my mom doesn't have the ability to hide things very well, and every year i ussually wind up stumbling upoing my gifts cause she puts them in stupid places....

well tonight i just so happened to go into her room, and look at the stack of shopping bags sitting on top of all her clean laundry, and just so happened to see one or 2 of my gifts.... which she fucked up, and didn't get me the right thing....

i'm a real hard person to shop for, but I'm also easy at the same time. I will give u a list of what i want, sometimes I'll even email a list with pictures, and a place where u can get it cheaper then other places, but if it's not what i wanted, well i'm a "screw you, i went to all the effort to make that friggin list and u couldn't stick to it" kinda guy.....

well when i saw this, i walked into the kitchen and was like "mom, u messed up, and got me the wrong thing, i wanted a charging station for all my gizmo's, not a remote control/end table organizer...... i don't even have an end table"

she then got snippy and told me i fucking ruined xmas

the nerve.... i tried to save xmas so that when i open my gifts, i'm not like, "way to go for getting me the wong thing" Seriously though, I might sound spoiled, but I'm really not. I think if your gonna take the time to go shopping for someone and get them a gift, you should get them something they either want or would appreciate, otherwise your just giving me something thats gonna sit and go unused.... which makes me feel like even more of a cock because i just took ur gift and through it in the closet....

she then proceeded to give me even more shit because she had no clue what the fuck i was talking about, and told me once again i ruined xmas.... i finally had to physically show her the item (for the second time) for her to realize what the fuck it was...

actually, i sound like an asshole, i'm fully aware of it.

but its not like I'm fucking 14. I'm 24. I put a lot of thought and time into the gift i get people, especially her. She buggs me for weeks for me to crack and tell her what i want.

and it's nothing. a couple of books, and a charging station. I don't ask for much, because I don't need nor want much, but what i do ask for, i ask for a reason.

it's a 2 way street here red, and she's the same way. her birthday was last thurday and the woman had the balls to attempt to search my room looking for her gifts.

i have to bring her stuff home wrapped and put it under the tree in strategic placement otherwise she'll mess with it.

and don't give me that shit about "she spends her time and money" my mom has more of a fucking social life then the cast of 90210, the orginal series, not that pussy ass revived shit. and money...... woman takes home almost 2x the amount i bring home, and i buy her exactly what she wants, and i have to figure it out for myself.... i don't get to use a fucking list

Parents are always going to mess up with gifts. Even if they get you something you want you'll get 6 others things that you didn't want. She just want to try and get you something she thinks you'll like on her own. You can always keep it and give it back to her next year. Saves time and money.

my mom makes 75+k a year and walks in the door and screams at me on a regular basis "because its cold in here" yet i have no control over a thermastat....

no, she thought it was exactly what i asked for, and it wasn't until i physically broke down the item in question, did she realize she made a mistake.... she thought i was just being picky about the shape

and i even told her not to return the organizer thing, that it was cool and i could use it.
