always had good luck with the early taurus get them cheap and you can beat the crap out of them and they will never give up, we bought one for 1k and got into an accident with it that cause the front and the rear to fold up and got 2k for it out of the insuance company, and you can't complain about 25mpg, and at the time i think it had one of the highest crash test ratings around so your going to be pretty save with it. and they always have the sho model that you can get, those are getting cheap cause parts for them are getting hard to find and expensive, but yea are 90 taurus gl lasted over 300k with simple maintence before it got into the accident

Did they make a Taurus with a stick? 'cause every automatic Taurus I've ever seen had the transmission die a miserable death.

and gray... search your classifides... I just found a 1999 miata for 1200 bucks with 35K miles lol ( I belive its a typo, but doesn't cost me anything to send the guy an email)

if its in good condition and at that price I'll buy it and sell it for more... or keep it even if its gay

yes the sho taurus. but i dont think ive ever seen an early taurus die a death from the trans maybe the second gens but not the first gen, tho it does help that my step dad is a transmission mechanic but we never had problems with ours, i mean you do have to do the proper maintence on it, like change the tranny fluid every 50k miles or so
