Any problem from installing O/R H w/o a Tune?


If i install my pypes o/r H and I dont tune will i have a problem? I.E. running to rich? or will i just trip a CEL.

It'll trip the light just because the rear o2's are sensing there are no cats... You will run slightly rich, but not enough to hurt anything

Not sure if 05 and up use the same MIL's as 99-04's

Actually I thought it made it run lean because the cats are gone, there is nothing to burn up the unused fuel. Thus tripping the CEL & causing it to try to lean itself out to compensate??

Anyone know for sure?? Rich? Emay??

i ran a o/r x without a tune and got the light, i thought the car was running like absolute shit. took the pipe off until i got a tuner. ran much much better.

why isn't this on the 05+ tech forum...?
