i've been on here for over 2 years and when they started the bb i didn't even know it. i seldom go there. think i've been a few times in the past couple days which is more than i've been in the past few months

that's ok. let the baby killers have their section. i wanted to do an engine swap /stroker tech section for people who don't fall into the 5.0-4.6 category but that was unneeded. having a section dedicated to illegal street racing is very important and an asset to the site

ummm....it's not my poll smooth so yeah, no biggie. supporting illegal street racing does not reflect on me it reflects on the site. so if the mods and the admins are cool with the negative attention it brings i really don't care

This is an automotive forum. Part of the automotive world, unfortunately, is street racing.

Now, you need to look at this from a different perspective, freakiebaby.

As you raise your children, will you keep subjects like drugs, sex, crime, alcohol, etc, from them, and hope that it just never happens?

No. You will talk to them about it in a mature manner and enlighten them on the dangers of a particular subject.

The same theory applies here, my man. Instead of just closing something down, and climbing on people or calling them 'baby killers' (mostly young impressionable people, I might add), you could instead use your own experience, wisdom, and insight to educate these people in a respectful non-confrontational manner.

If you truly care about eradicating street racing, you will take the time to do that instead of just hoping a forum section gets eliminated.

If you change one person's mind about street racing, you have done more than you ever would by succeeding in closing some forum section down.

Education will have an impact on street racing. Ignoring a subject by making it go away will not.

Just my two cents brother.

Good post Rick. I've stayed out of this thread this week so not going to go back and read all the banter. I can admit it that that section changed my mind about my actions on the road. I'm rather embarrassed about the one thread I started there...and have prayed several times to thank the lord nothing happened. So I have to agree with Zip...shutting it down may actually do more harm than good.
