Changing the cables...
So I'm changing the clutch cable out to put the stocker back in. I'm trying to make my clutch job in the next couple of days as easy as possible.
So far, so good, but I need my brother to wake up so he can pull the clutch fork for me to get the cable out. It's still got too much tension on it for me to get the cable off of the quadrant and I can't get a wrench on the nut of the adjustable cable to get it undone, SOOOO I have to slide the end of the cable off of the quadrant and work from there....

I'm putting the stock CABLE back in. The stock cable is better than any other cable for the most part.
I'm going back to a completely stock set up. Stock quadrant, stock cable, RAM OEM Clutch which is about as close to a stock Ford clutch as I'm gonna get.

It's been a peice of shit since day one. It still chatters, the engagement was never right because there was no balance point with the cable and clutch. Like if you loosened it the way it needed to be in the clutch pedal to feel right, it wouldn't engage. If you adjust it to the way the pedal is SUPPOSED to feel, it grinds the TOB...

Got it in about an hour ago. I took my time and tried to stay calm with it. I had ZERO kinks. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. First time I've ever worked on a car without anything going wrong. I had to call Matt to double check the cable routing, but other than that it was extremely smooth.
The TOB is still squeeking, but the throw of the clutch is bare none AWESOME! I mean it's the way it's supposed to be (light at top, firm in middle, gives way to easy throw right after the middle) I can feel the notchy-ness in the pedal from the TOB, but other than that it's amazing. Can't wait till the RAM gets here.
