not a plasma expert or anything at all...but typically burn in happens when you leave the tv on a fixed item, like a picture or something for an extended amount of time.

It will still have burn in if its on long enough. But you'd have to have it on for a really long time. There are programs that you can get that will almost compeltly take car of burn in when/if you get it though. But I wouldn't be worried about burn in while playing a videogame for a couple of hours as long as you turn it off when your done.

what kind of tv is it? link to it please?
most new tv's have built in features now that prevent burn in. I know my new sansung has it. A few tips of precautionary measures. Don't play for longer then 2 or 3 hour intervals. if u plan on playing for 8 hours straight then take 15-20 minute breaks while u turn the TV off. turn ur contrast and brightness to under 50% for the first 100 hours of viewing. don't leave a game or dvd or dvr paused on ur screen for more then a few minutes. don't watch channels like homeshopping because of the constant scrolling markey... or atleast don't watchi it all the time...... it's all pretty much common sense...... run a google search about the truth about plasma vs LCD and u'll find plenty of info |

Highly doubt a video game could cause burn in...tv is doing the same thing with a movie as it is with a video game, displaying an image...Just like on the old arcade games, if you left it on the start screen for a long time you would get burn in. CRT and plasma are prone to burn in if a steady image is on the screen for an extended amount of time...if you are playing a video game, you will not get burn in.
LCD is less prone to this problem, hence LCD picture frames. |

if ur playing a game for hours, with minimal switches to a didferent screen, then yes. especially if u leave the game paused on the screen. But you said it's never on for more then 6 hours at a time, and even then it's on and off. u should have no worrys
not when ur smoking pot it isn't dude, u'll be fine, just don't leave anything there for more then 4 or 5 hours constant |

Now like you said in another post, leaving the game paused for an extended period of time could cause burn in. In otherwords, you could play a game for 24 hours straight with zero burn in. But if you left it on pause for 24 hours, then yes you could have a problem. Think about it, bestbuy has movies playing constantly on plasma tv's. |
