need help with ps3 and blu ray

ok so i went out today and i was going to buy a blu ray player but i figured why not spend alittle more and have a game system too. anyways i got it all hooked up to my sony bravia 1080p and i put the blu ray in and its no clearer then the cable hd channels whats the deal? i thought this shit was suppose to be like WOW is there something on the ps3 i need to set? my tv is already set on 1080p and the hdmi cable im using is a monster cable. i'll have to find the box for it unless i tossed it. so anyways i feel like i wasted 500bux

I have a 1080 with a ps3 and it's a day and night difference btw them. You have something set up wrong if you can't tell a difference.

try adjusting the output of the ps3

and trust me, 1 hdmi cable is not better then the next. the reason y the monsters cost so much is because of the name.
