One way I get going is to take a picture of what I'm trying to do and then figure out the best way to go at the issue. May not work for everyone but it works for me.

I thinks its the part about getting my brain going to work on the problem. Then by the time I have a reasonable idea of how to fix the problem I am usually then motivated to do something about it because I am almost certain what I'm in for.
